Life Skills For Children

About CODi
CODi Life Skills makes learning innovative and fun!
Children come to understand the world in many ways. The connection between their purpose on the planet and their potential of making positive contributions to society is key in how well they perform academically. In short, most children have to "get it" before they can be expected to "do it". And that's what the CODi Life Skill series is all about… "getting it".
Children of Destiny International (CODi) develops a variety of educational materials, activities and workshops for young people. The CODi Life Skills series are uniquely crafted workbooks that allow children to illustrate their interpretation of their life experience while guiding them towards academic correlation, healthy choices and goals. Through the child's self expression and creativity comes an association with targeted social skills and academic relevance. CODi calls this effective learning technique "color your thoughts."

Marcia L. Thompson, co-creator of CODi, has a passion for encouraging children to excel through her poetry. As a writer and educator she works with fellow child advocates to provide aid to children in various countries.

Reading the CODi workbooks was an enjoyable experience! With its unique and direct writing style, CODi has truly tapped into an area of need within children's literature. Each poem candidly speaks to the heart of the reader. I believe that children's lives will be changed as they engage in the meaningful activities. The impact these workbooks can have on a child's life is expansive and significant.
