Our Name Defines Us & Our Logo Signifies, "What We Value & How We Serve" One Accord is a unique phrase that is used almost exclusively in the book of Acts. The Greek word for One Accord is "homothumadon" and its meaning is much deeper than simply being like-minded. It implies "one passion" and helps us to identify the uniqueness of the Christian Church God designed. It defines the blueprint God prepared for His people and reveals the heart, actions, results and destiny of a body of believers who choose to operate with One Passion. The word means to "rush along in unison". We are like-minded, motivated by the same passion, rushing along toward the same goal... "Building God's Kingdom". If we are of one mind, one passion, then there is only one way we can serve each other. Philippians 2:1-4 tells us how; "If there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.  Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others." Our LOGO is symbolic of that relationship.  The Letter "A" signifies that we are to be in "Accord" with each other, to pursue and have a passion for those things that are important to God.  The Letter "O" which rotates around the Letter "A" not only reminds us of the unity of heart and mind we are  commanded to share, but also of the Marriage Ring (the covenat bond) we each wear to God and to each other as His Prized Bride and as Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
