WE CAN HELP...
Having an architectural partner who has been designing church facilities for over 30 years gives us a tremendous advantage over other design firms. We have completed over 1,000 church facility projects and have the ability to utilize these previous designs as the design template or final design for churches looking to build. Because the design is complete and proven effective, we can offer these plans at a fraction of the cost of a new design.
Typically, we can save ministries 50% to 60% off new design costs.
For Example: Architectural design fees generally run 6% to 12% of the construction budget depending upon where you are located in the country. If you are looking to build a $1,000,000 church (which today probably wouldn’t get you a 10,000 square foot building) you could expect design fees to run an additional $60,000 to $120,000 on top of the construction costs. Our fees typically run from 2.5% to 4.5% of construction costs, or in this instance $25,000 to $45,000, saving the ministry $35,000 to $75,000 for the same square footage of a new design.
Additionally,we can pre-qualify a ministry for a construction loan (if needed) before ever incuring any design or construction costs. Unfortunately, we have witnessed dozens and dozens of ministries (you probably have too) who have paid out exorbitant design fees only to find out that they cannot attract or obtain the funds necessary to complete their project. This can and has destroyed many ministries. Congregational funds should never be exposed to that kind of risk, especially when it is so easy to avoid.
So, before hiring an architect, give us a call or fill out our Church Floor Plan Search Form. Its FREE, it’s easy, it's right here... It only takes a few minutes and once complete allows you to view hundreds of church designs that can save you tens of thousands of dollars, hundreds of man-hours and promote unity within the church. We can also provide renderings and photographs of designs to help you cast your vision and build consensus early on within your leadership team and congregation.
WORST CASE... you will see plans and designs other ministries have used successfully. You may even gain valuable insight or see design concepts you never envisioned.
BEST CASE... you find a plan that does match your vision and save tens of thousand of dollars, hundreds of man-hours planning and the satisfaction of knowing you been a wise steward over the resources your congregation has entrusted to your care.
You loose nothing by looking, except the risk of overspending. You can also download from our website FREE guides that will help you think through the many site and space planning issues that should be considered before ever purchasing property or hiring an architect.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Our concept drawings are great tools for communication. Here are a few of the areas where good concept drawings will aid the process:
-
Providing vision to the church and building committee. If you need plans to stimulate thinking or excitement for your building committee, these plans can be a great catalyst for moving the project forward.
-
Providing a catalyst for design discussion. The concept document gives your church a good starting point to discuss the needs of the church, what they like and need and what they don't.
-
Provides a "drawing pad" on which the church can sketch modifications for communicating to the architect.
-
Capital Stewardship Campaigns. A good church floor plan can help communicate the vision of the future church and is a great way to help raise excitement and financial support for a building program.
-
If you need conceptual plans for your church's capital campaign, you will save thousands of dollars by not having to pay someone to provide concept drawings for your promotional materials.
-
Begin preliminary discussions with planning departments to discuss the project using real plans to discover any potential issues early in the process - not later when it is more expensive!
-
Request competitive bids from contractors early in the process. This is a huge benefit to the church. Usually churches must go all the way through the design process and spend ten’s of thousands of dollars on drawings before getting a construction bid price. Unfortunately, what happens at least 3 times out of 4 is that the construction bid comes back much higher than the estimate. Churches then have to pay the architect to redesign their plans to bring the construction cost estimate down to budget. Using our unmodified church plans, your can get a very accurate idea of the cost per square foot to actually build. Since the changes to the stock plan don't usually significantly change the construction price, your church can proceed forward with the project knowing what the real cost will be to build (not guess or estimate).
-
Save Time. By having working drawings that are probably 90% or more like what you are going to build, you can begin the process of evaluating bids and selecting a contractor or design/build firm much earlier in the process. This is especially important if you are trying to fast track a building program.

A Few Facts About Our Service.
Our Architectural Design Partner has been designing church buildings for over 30 years and has completed over 1,000 projects to date. By reusing previously designed plans, your church can save the initial cost of the plan’s creation, thus saving thousands of dollars on architectural design fees.
For example. Your church is looking to build a 10,000 square foot facility that will cost on average about $100.00 a square foot. Typically, architectural fees for designing church plans can cost 7% to 12%, (sometimes higher) of the final building costs. Your church would normally incur a cost of $70,000 to $120,000 using a typical architectural service. Using a pre-designed building plan, modified to your needs and local building codes would run between $30,000 to $40,000, saving your ministry $40,000 to $80,000.
We will customize the church plan to meet the needs of your ministry your building codes and your geographical zones. Often building exteriors are changed to match existing buildings. Our architects attend site observation inspections if required for construction. All of our church plans will meet the standards of the American Disabilities Act. Some of the church plans can be mirrored to double the building size with minimum changes to the building.
There are hundreds of unique designs - all built and proven effective. Products available include: Elevations & Floor Plans, Rendering, Uncertified Plans - Costing and Single Use, Certified Plans - stamped, ready to build, Photo Realistic Movie, Color Presentation Boards, Scale Models.
FREE Church Space Planning Guide Needs Analysis
Before properties are purchased and an effective and economical church facility can be designed, ministry goals, resources and needs must be evaluated. We will help you gather and analyze the data needed to determine the optimal structure given current ministry needs, trends and financial resources. As funds available are almost always constrained, we will help you identify which requirements are essential (needs) and which requirements would be nice to have (wants).
This does not mean that every need will be met, or that none of the wants will be in the final design. But identifying the most important elements from both a need and a want perspective will help in the planning process.

Real Estate Site Selection & Planning Guide Selecting the right site for your new church facility

It is important to know, when selecting a new site for your church, that the feasibility of a site is not limited to the cost of land. Other issues to consider include whether the site meets your church’s functional needs as well as your church’s technical needs. The functional feasibility of a potential site deals with whether your congregation will be happy and successful on the new site. The technical feasibility of a potential site deals with whether the new site will serve the long-term needs of your church. Both are important and need to be considered when selecting a new site for your church.
Our FREE guide will help you think through and evaluate these issues and how they should influence your choice of real estate and ultimately the total cost of your building project. Key areas of consideration will include such things as:
• Specific Do's and Don'ts of Purchasing Property • Location Factors • Physical Attribute Considerations • Regulatory Requirements • Environmental Issues and Concerns • Geographic Considerations • The Permitting Process
